thanks

huh, Im a Kershaw fan, and I never even seen that design? Looks nice, is it an older model or a new one?

I've never seen it either; it sure looks nice!

Looks possibly like Japanese manufacture, perhaps with Micarta scales, brass liners?

Anyway, if the price is anywhere reasonable, I say buy it.

It's a nice knife here's some pics of mine:

It's nice and slim and very comfortable to hold, lockup is solid and its very sharp out of the box and the inside is all polished which looks cool

Blade: 3.13-inch VG-10
Handle: 4.25-inch black micarta

It comes with leather sheath with pocket clip.

Limited run of 600.

I'm ordering one now.:)

I think it's a newer model. I want to pick one up also.

NGK has them up on the new release thing, so I think they're new. I love the looks of it.

I like that one. I wish Kershaw made more knives like this. I got one on order

We nick named this Model the "Revival knife" It is an older model that we brought back into production.

I believe this knife is model # 1993-2 and is a new version of a knife made in 1993 called " 1993 Limited edition " see photos. The old version had linen Micarta handles , but I would assume that the blade steel was either AUS6 which was most common steel in Kershaw folders of that era , or AUS8 possibly because it was a limited edition. I saw the new one at the Blade show west this year and It was a very nice knife. I still prefer the old to the new. ( photos are of the original 1993 Knife)

While I'm expecting delivery today of the new model, I have to say the original with the front bolster (brass, I assume) looks equally terrific. Funky great-looking sheath with the original, too.

The 1993-2 ( new Version) is made in Japan

Thanks, yes it looks like a Japanese manufacture.
Very, very nice knife, reminds me a little of the Al Mar lightweights. And the Busfields that Moki made for Beretta a while back.

I have handled this knife for a limited period in a knife shop and was quite impressed. It has all the feel I've liked in Kershaw knives, but a little more gentlemanly. I must say though that for that style knife I would HIGHLY reccomend an Mcusta knife over that simply because they're a similar price point, gorgeous, and amazingly well made.

McCusta is definitely first-rate but lacks the retro look of this cutie.
My Kershaw addiction is focused on Ken Onion though, so the Splinter is my favorite Kershaw gentleman folder - no offense.

I've got one of these Kershaws coming. I fell in love with it when I first saw it just tonight. Being Moki Japan made its going to be a nice one for sure. I like the brass liners. I miss seeing brass over the other metals these days. There is something very nostalgic about brass. I like Micarta a lot also.

This folder reminds me of the classic slim line knives of my youth up until the early and mid 80s and the lines are the same as what I've always loved about the Spyderco Micarta Jess Horn. I like the size of this one over the Horn though. VG10 is one of my favorite steels too so it looks like Kershaw covered all the bases for a fine knife here. I'm sure I'll add this one to my EDC knives. May have to buy a second one to keep mint though if its everything I'm thinking it will be. Something tells me this one is going to be hard for the dealers to keep on shelves. Its got all the makings of a high demand folder IMO. I think the price is certainly right.
