I've always loved my Groove too. I'm surprised it never caught on, lots of bang for the buck IMO

Just picked one up from Chester 22 on the exchange. This on has kryptoglow scales on it.

I just missed out on one on that auction site right before I spied this one in the exchange.

I just got one in a trade and after that I now own 2 of them and really want to pick up another. The ergos are fantastic for me and with its slim design it just disappears in the pocket. Another thing I like about it is when you put the clip in tip up carry it still rides decently low in the pocket. And dont forget the flipper. It is very addictive and super smooth. If you dont own one and can find one I suggest picking one up.

I agree the ergo's are great on this blade. Can't for the life of me figure out why this model was discontinued. I think Kershaw gets too caught up in assisted openers while IMO some of their best knives are flippers.

The groove is grand as far as I'm concerned. I've got a Black Tanto Groove and while it wreaks quality it's not my style if aesthetics are taken into consideration, though my friends love it and always comment on how "mean" it looks. But to my eye it appears too tacticool. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not for me. The Grooves are pretty substantial and have a nice balanced ergonomic feel too. I'd go with the regular 1730 drop point if I were to do it over. Kershaw's R.J Martin collaborations always tend to turn out nice.
