Kershaw Junk Yard Dawg Pictures...

Are those pics of the finalized PRODUCTION model?!?!? If so, I think we have a new winner in the Poor Man's knife of the year!!! The MSRP is going to be like $55-60, right? VERY nice, and thanks for the pics! I can hardly wait to sign up for it!!!

That's got to be the hottest knife in that price range! Me likey

I like it. Especially the smaller version since it will be a frame lock with 410 steel frames.

Does anyone know whether it can be taken apart for cleaning without it affecting the warrenty?
And how easy it is to take it apart to begin with?

Oh man! I am buying so many Kershaws and Spydercos lately. I'm an ex naval aviator and will just have to buy the JYD when it's available. Thanks, I think LOL

STeven, great pictures, great knife. Thank you.

I am sitting here flicking my Storm II and staring at the Junkyard Dawg,
thinking my way into this new Kershaw.

5 screws, so it shouldn't be that hard to take apart. There might be loc-tite on the frame screws, but just heat it up a bit. I wouldn't imagine it'd void the warranty just because it isn't speedsafe.

One further question: Backspacer or Standoffs?

Sweet!!

Remind me of jet fighters of 50's.
I too gonna have one. :)
Thanks for great knife and pics.

Good looking knife, needs thumb studs though, and less pictures on the body. But, good looking knife, good price, and good company.

I really like the clip, might be too "tactical" for some, but for me, on a black pair of pants, i think it would look really cool.

Wow that looks a LOT like the BM 635 Mini Skirmish. Just swedge the tip up instead of down, drill a couple holes, and presto!!

Maybe that's why I think it looks cool???

With the shape and size of that clip, I was wondering if you could remove it from the knife, sharpen both edges and use it as a little pinch grip slasher.

Steven, as always thanks for posting the images. Will really miss you at Blade next week, but appreciate the hook up with Mr. Pendray. ;)

Thanks for all the great comments on the JYD, we are very excited to show it off at the show. Tim is very happy with how the piece was executed, and I am happy for him as well. I think those that get to handle the knife will really be impressed with the way this flipper performs.

The images are in fact those of a production proto.

This knife looks like it will set the benchmark for this price range. Made in the US, a pretty darn good steel and an excellent price.

I really like the absence of thumbstuds and the clip being near the edge. Great looking knife. Thomas W, what blade steel is offered?

Thanks,
Ryan
