Up for sale today is a Kershawguy exlusive Junkyard Dog II composite blade/black DLC. I bought this new from Dave and carried it a few times, but never used it. However I did make a few useful modifications: I reshaped and acid washed the garish pocket clip to be a little bit lower profile, and gave it a near perfect mirror edge (it didn't come particularly sharp). I kept it at the factory angles and conserved as much steel as possible. The blade is perfectly centered, and comes with the original pouch and box.
Onto the bad: the detent on this knife is very weak, as is fairly common on some JYD II. It also has a little bit of side to side play if you muscle on it, which is a result of having to have a looser pivot to make it flip. Once you have the technique down, it flips without any wrist movement. However, a trip back to Kershaw may remedy some of these issues. It is not a blemished model so they will honor the factory warranty.
