Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout/SpeedSafe--Review?

A friend of mine is looking into getting a Kershaw Ken Onion Blackout. This is his first knife, and he wants as much information as he can get about it. Well, I've never used a Blackout or any knives featuring torsion bar assisted opening, and therefore could not give him enough info. What are your experiences with this company, this knife, and the SpeedSafe assisted opening?

Hi! You should check the Knife Reviews and Testing forum. There were quite a few posts about the Ken Onion knives and also about the Blackout in particular around Wednesday, last week.
 
i love my Blackout.i keep it in my back
pocket with my comb.i do cutting chores,
opening packages etc. at home & at work.
good price too!
off-topic i took my wife to J.F.K.airport
this morning to meet a friend,& i was stopped
at the metal detector.they would not let me
in with the Blackout.i had to wait outside
untill my wife was finished.
also speed-safe is great & i have Boa on order
just my 2cents.
