Kershaw Ken Onion Boa or MOD Hornet??? Help me decide!!

M@thew,
It is easy to answer your question – I carry a knife what I’m currently preparing to write about. I try to carry it in suitable way and to avoid silly situations like 6” fixed blade with suit or gent’s folder in wilderness. To use the knife the way it is intended to be used – this is the best test and the most reliable source for interesting writing.

Last month or a bit longer I have carried BENCHMADE 551 Griptilian and must say I’m very pleasured with it. Since this Thursday I came back from IWA trade show (Nuremberg, Germany) with some new knives now it is turn for SPYDERCO Temperance, Salsa, Fred Perrin fixed blade, also BENCHMADE Axis AFCK and some knives more.

In fact I can do my job with either knife if required so the knife rotation in my daily carry is only the part of my work – writing preparing.

Thanks Sergiusz,
Very interesting, i hope you will post some of those reviews here, i'm sure i'm not the only one here who would be interested in reading them. Have a good one :)

Take the boa. You'd probably appreciate the index finger speed opener.
I don't own the boa, but I have the CRKT M16 which feature Kit Carson's "flippers" It just helps opening the knife really easily.
Quite frankly I found the Boa doesn't look as militaristic and probably can do more tasks than the Mod Hornet, and i'm pretty sure the recurve would help on other utility tasks.
You might not have this problem, but laws in Canada about whether or not I can carry folding knives are really fuzzy, and a combat looking knife might land you more scrutiny. I'd take the boa instead of the hornet even if the Boa is inferior. Some cop in bad mood see me with a combat looking knife could give me hell.
