Kershaw Ken Onion Rainbow Leek

Beautiful knife, nice looking and probably ergonomically sound (from the image). Looks like there is a "flipper" from what I can tell. Personally I don't like the "speed safe" flipper, and prefer the thumbstud actuation of speed safe. I just hope the spring is "robust" since I've noticed that spring strength seems to be falling off on recent Kershaw/Onions.

I wonder if it was possible to post more pictures of this knife... closed, clip side, top... etc.

Dexter, The Rainbow Leek finish is being processed with Titanium Oxide using the PVD process. We found that the Titanium Oxide rainbow finish has better wear then the Boron Carbide rainbow because the Boron rainbow is very thin.

Thank you for the info, Darrell!

I like this knife very much, blade and handle shape look excellent to me, and the coating is too cool.

But 100 bucks for 440A i dont think so!

A question for Darrell Lewis, can i send any knife to you guys for this coating? and can we start a thread (maybe you can start this thread) explaining all of the coatings that you offer as aftermarket services?

I love the knife.
I HATE THE STEEL.
440a is decent stuff, but Jesus H Christ, where do they get off using it in a knife that expensive? I thought 420 was bad in the chive and scallion even though they are small knives...glad theyre not doing it on this one.

A very nice looking knife, but, $100 for 440A? I don't think so. 440C, absolutely.
