It's pretty common for people to make this assertion without any backing at all, with various brands. But it's clear that Kershaw has done this at least in the case of the Shuffle. I have been curious about a run of clam packed Thistles that have turned up on some online vendors with an unusually low price, model KS3812WMX vs KS3812. Blade material is described simply as "stainless steel" rather than the usual 8cr13mov. Anyone got info on that one?
