i just recieved a kershaw knockout blem in the mail yesterday and love it but knife seems to have something lose inside that rattles when blade is opened. Has anyone had problem like this, heard of this, or know have to fix it??? ive never took a blade apart before but when try to losen the screw it only has alittle play left and right before it wont turn any further......any help would be great thank u

Beat me to it. The torsion bar has no tension on it when blade is in the open position. Thus, the torsion bar can jiggle in its housing. Open and add some grease so that the bar will stay in place. Oil can work to, but grease is far better.

ok thanks ive just never heard that on any of my other 24 kershaw knives before.......another question why wont the screw come lose??? i took the little ones out in scales no problem but the bigger one only moves alittle to the left and right than wont move. like i said ive never taken one apart before

One problem solved. Not sure what you mean about your screw problem though. I'm guessing you mean your pivot screw?
Only thing I can think of would be that it is maybe the thread locker holding it in, try heating up the screw to loosen it.

try moving the scales opposite eachother while loosening the pivot with the rest of the screws out

Sounds like you aren't comfortable doing this and no need sending it in for warranty. Try the heat method to loosen the pivot screw and you'll get to the torsion bar cavity. Fill it with grease, but hey, sometimes blems gonna blem.

And no, unfortunately WD40 won't resolve the problem with the torsion bar. GLWR

ur right this is first knife ive ever tryed taking apart :) i see what i can do and learn as i go.....thanks for the feedback ill use it as i go

Vaseline works fine. You're not trying to lubricate the torsion bar, just sort of cushion it.

Sounds like a similar problem with my Blur. When in open position I hear something loose.

The torsion bar rattling when the blade is open is not a "problem", this is normal since there is no tension on the bar in the open position. Usually there is enough grease on the torsion bar to prevent the rattle, but if not, it doesn't hurt anything, and grease can easily be reapplied.
