Kershaw Knockout problem????

did you ever get it apart? The pivot screw probably has some form of loctite on it to prevent it from loosening. The easiest way to remove it is to get a soldering iron with a semi sharp tip and heat the head of the screw. The screw will heat up and it will soften the thread locking adhesive and allow you to remove the screw. Make sure your using a torx driver and not a allen wrench. Allen wrenches can seem to fit fine but you really run a risk of stripping it out.

no i havent gotten it apart yet but havent put heat to it yet....... seems the rattling is going away as well. im still going to take it apart just to learn from it. thanks everyone for the feedback
