I cannot understand why this knife was discontinued...seems like a budget ZT to me. Very hefty, nice steel, great handle, and a beautiful blade shape. Any other Lahar fans out there???

I am rather fond of my Lahar - very nice knife, and I do like your observation about it being very ZT like.

My impression was that it has that very nice feel of a higher-end Spyderco knife, Spyderco collectors would love this one as well.

Nice thread, especially because I am very close to buying a Lahar myself. :o

I really liked the one that I had; it was my first Kershaw. I gave mine to my son a few years back. And yes, I am a Spyderco fanatic.

Holy mother of...I never knew they made a green one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought mne when they first came out.
I like it so much that I just bought two more.
Great knife for the money.

How much is it worth now? I'm looking to buy one but I am unaware if the price I have is good.

I had one and I liked everything about it, but I knew I wasnt going to use it much, if at all. So I sold it to a member here.

You can still get one from Kershaw Guy new for $75

That's where i was going to buy it from... But i'm not sure if that's a good deal or not.

Eh, what the hell. I'll bite the bullet and buy one.

One thing is for sure as the inventory goes down the price goes up. As far as the green ones are concerned you can see that on the blade it says "LE 2012" to the best of my knowledge and you cannot quote me, there were around 200 sold Internationally ( not Japan I don't think) and at this point there are to my knowledge, only 4 people that currently have this knife and 29 more that have not been marketed yet.

My Dad saw mine, said something about feeding me for all those years, and put it in his pocket. Last time I saw it, he'd put some serious miles on it.

Great knife; I think I got mine when they were first discontinued for under $60. Grab Em while you can, there can't be many NIB still around.

I bought mine when one of the paid dealers here had them on sale for less than $50. I agree; it's a great knife. I think I may have to give it some pocket time.

Had mine since they came out. They were a screaming good deal then, think around $45 IIRC? I believe BladeHQ had them recently for around the same price so I'd check them first. Great knife, take some sandpaper and go over your liner edges and it becomes more hand friendly. Wish Kershaw would still offer some VG10 knives besides the chef knives.

I got a Lahar recently and was surprised how nice it was for the price.
It does have a ZT look going on.

The VG10 sharpens up very good and for being non-assisted it opens easily.
It is a shame they are discontinued.

i had one...for me, my issue with it was that the egros of the handle didn't match the blade; it should have had, i don't know; scuplted slabs rather than the very base looking g10...where that "base" g10 fits the very utiliatarian zt350, i never thought it flew with the lahar and that very nice vg10 blade...i never wanted to use it so i gave it away...

if they had made slabs for it similar in look/feed to the TG "pro" version, i'd probably still have one...
