Ok, this comment pushed me over the edge. I've promised myself to buy it now.

I had been deciding between a Lahar or a DLC JYD, either of them from Dave of course. Lahar wins I guess.

I grabbed two while they had them, think I'll carry one tomorrow (first time)!

One thing is for sure as the inventory goes down the price goes up. As far as the green ones are concerned you can see that on the blade it says "LE 2012" to the best of my knowledge and you cannot quote me, there were around 200 sold Internationally ( not Japan I don't think) and at this point there are to my knowledge, only 4 people that currently have this knife and 29 more that have not been marketed yet.

Great info, as always, Dave! Having one of those green Lahars in the collection would be a wonderful thing, wouldn't it?

I was very pleased to be lucky enough to run into a friend that had one of those nice LE2012 knives.

I always felt the Lahar was a sleeper in Kershaw's line-up. I love mine.

I ordered a few when I owned a store a little while back mainly because they seemed like a good deal (trustworthy brand, good materials and pretty affordable price). They sold quite well, I kept the last one for myself. It's my favourite Kershaw, closely followed by the S30V Blur and the Gentleman's Lockback.
