Kershaw Lahar

I'm new to knife collecting. I have acquired a paramilitary 2, kershaw link, and a rat 1. I now have to opportunity to buy a like new Kershaw Lahar. The gentleman wants 50 for it here locally. It does not come with a box. Is that a fair price without the box? How much does not having the box effect resale value?

I appreciate y'alls input!
 
I'm more a user of knives than a collector of safe queens, but box or no, that's a good price for a like new Lahar.
 
Well I typically am too. For the most part all the knives I get will be used for daily tasks. I guess by collector, I mean I'm spending more and more often on quality knives. I appreciate your input on it man!
 
Not a spectacular buy,but the knife is a beast...they used to sell them at a local sports outfit here for 38.00 ,i ended up buying 2,Yeah its a fair price
 
Considering it's a Kershaw, made in Japan with VG-10, has a solid lock, great ergonomics, and is long discontinued, $50 is a good deal at this point.
