Okay Guys I Need Some Opinions. I'm Looking For A Knife.

I've Always Wanted The Junkyard Dog II The Regular One With G-10 Handle.

But On The Other Hand I Wouldn't Mind Having A Leek Because It's Smaller, More Compact And Ideal For EDC.

I'm Attracted To Both And Don't Know Which Is The Better Choice.

So What Would You Suggest Out Of Those Two Choices?

JYD 2, I love and have both in multiples and always feel I have the knife for the job with the JYD. It fits my beefy paws great and can do small/large jobs with ease. Also never fails to fire as my Leek's do often as they get older. Plus you get that satisfying "THWACK" when it opens.

If you really want the JYDII, then get it. the steel is good, it opens well, it has wonderful, grippy scales, the ergoes are great, and it is just about the right size for my large hands. I would, however, also suggest getting an STR lowrider. the clip is, shall we say, massive, and is really the reason that i do not carry it much at all.

Hard question to answer, is like the asking to get a Lifted Chevy 4x4 or a Cadillac. I have both knives, I hike my local mountain a few times a week, I take the leek. I go out back I grab the JYD II, I like the cb, looks great and has a better cutting steel. I like bigger blades, JYD II has a nice sized blade, easy to hold, g10 scales grab really well. Leek is sleek and refines, blade is more for detail cutting, not heavy cutting. Get both.

I love the Ti/SG2 JYDII, but the stock of blems in that model seems to finally be exhausted. My next favorite is the CB version - great knife - and a much different style than a Leek, which, in it's own rite, is an excellent knife - just a bit smaller.

Another vote for the JYD II. The Leek is a fantastic knife to have around for light/detail tasks, but the JYD II is a far more robust and versatile knife for the range of tasks you might encounter if you're planning to use it for EDC.
