Enjoy, compliments of Thomas W.

Best Regards,

As always, thank you Steven.

So this is the Ti/ZDP Leek you guys wanted to see. I took the pics pretty quick, and they certainly are not perfect. The Ti looks darker than the pics show, the clip as well. The safety was not installed on this Leek, but production will have them (not a big fan of them myself). This knife is sterile, but of course the production versions will have markings. ZDP hardened in the 64-65 range. Weighs 2.2 oz.

With any luck they will be shipping mid next week.

Much appreciated, thank you kindly for your efforts Thomas, Steven & Kershaw.

Size: Is this one the same size as the other Leeks? Three inch blade and four inch handle.

Is the clip stainless?

Would you describe this as the knife the forum built? I appears to have just what daddy likes.

Best,

oregon

Ya know the more I stare at my pics...man they suck.

It's not like you all couldn't picture the Ti Leek in you heads though. It's really not that much of a stretch to see Titanium scales, and a satin finished blade all rolled into a Leek pattern.

Oregon, it is the same size as a regular Leek, and yes the clip is stainless.
Would you describe this as the knife the forum built?
I would say the forum had most everything to do with this knife being produced. Thanks BF's and its members.

Sweet. That design is too good to only release as a liner lock. ZDP + framelock is just what the doctor ordered.

This makes me even more excited about the future of Kershaw. Can't wait to see what else Kershaw has up its sleeve.

Thomas, is there any chance of Kershaw making their knives ambidextrous? I love the designs, but very few of them allow the clip to be flipped to the other side for us lefties. I understand the Leek clip would have to be redesigned because of its shape and maybe this makes it less viable financially.

How can I get $200 without my wife finding out? Please make it cheaper.

I WANT ONE BAD!! How many will be made?

I'm all of a sudden very glad I held off and didn't buy the G10/S30V Leek. I didn't even know this was in the pipe. Awesome!

CMSpeedy, in the end, my guess is that around 950 pieces will hit the streets. Most dealers/distributors are frantic for a larger allocation, which should tell you all that you better get one on order.
Street pricing should be interesting.

Please make it cheaper.
If only Titanium and ZDP189 were "cheap", we all wish they were, but these materials bring a real premium.

These knives are going to be gone real fast. ZDP does strange things to normally very calm people. Witness another companies production that was highly sought after to the point some who bought one turned around and were asking almost triple MSRP on E bay for their knives. 900 to 950 isn't that many for a knife this nice. ( BTW, most dealers were very fair about the other companies knives as was the company in it's allocations)

Congratulations to Kershaw. BTW, Mr. Thomas W, is this laminated, and with what metal? Just curious. I think I can see the line in one of the pictures but I'm not sure. Are there future runs being contemplated? I'd sure like one and it's likely already too late for people not on the waiting list already. ( I'll have to try though !) Regards, Joe L.
