OK ok, enough talk, more show.

Notice anything odd in that pic, mainly the blade on the left, keep looking.

Yep, no edge was ever ground on that blade. Just a raw surface. Anyone seen this slip by before.

Had to buy another just for comparision. This is much more like it.

Glad you got these up! I've seen this knife of Myker's in person. It's really strange. If I recall, Kershaw offered to fix this and they were really perplexed as to how this might have gotten by. I'm glad you held onto it. It's really a cool oddity.

Yessirreebob. I have several old Camillus-closure-auction pieces with no edge. They were seconds, interrupted production, etc. The edges I've put on some of them have been amazing. Makes me wish some mfrs. would make some of their models 'edgeless' so we can put our own on them. And the little Talon I have from a passaround is a very nicely designed cutter, and with a 'personalized' right edge geometry, it would be exponentially better.

Ha ha , Never saw a dull one, so have you been sitting on it since 1997 when it was made, wow ! These were among my favorite Kershaws, ATS34 and Titanium . Maybe we could do some research and find out who was working QC in 97 and let him know he blinked, I think you did good to save it, great conversation piece.

Man are those old school Kershaws dead sexy... I bought a Random Task from Thomas last year (Thanks again buddy!) and was really impressed with the fit and finish!

Its nice to find some others that appreciate the piece. Its always intrigued me. Any info would be great. Wouldnt want to throw the inspector under the bus but it would be funny to let him know, what, over at least 10 years later.

Very similar to the edge that came on my BM Mini Grip. ;)

That looks just like the edge that Queen uses on every knife they sell. I have heard that some Grips come very dull/flat, but that 3 I have all came with a nice thin sharp edge.

LMAO...... still chuckling over that one.

I am a big Queen knife fan, but you are certainly right about that. When I get one that is sharp from the factory, I almost pass out and think I should hang on to it as a very rare model. I know someone there had an off day. Thankfully, I don't mind sharpening them.

OTOH, in my small stable of Kershaws, ALL came quite sharp and ready to carry.

Wow, neat knife. I wish they still made them, even if they didn't come with an edge.

Sometimes I wish they would sell knives like that normally.

I don't think any manufacturer has ever consistently put evenly ground edges on their knives.
