Kershaw Link

Don't ever buy 8Cr13MOV. Ever. Just don't do it.
Take a knife with a blade made out of bread first.
The bread will probably hold an edge longer.

Really, pretty much a kissing cousin to aeb-l which is in some really nice kitchen knives. Gavko folders have aeb-l and some custom guys are making fixed blades out of it. Correct me if I am wrong. I used to have a Kershaw cryo that I think was 8cr13mov and it took a nice edge. Russ

Looks likes the thread getting deeper with the steel, just curious about the Link, the Blackwash looks great. I just like to know how the 420HC performs from Kershaw. Have BM551 with 440C & never had an issue, also have a Buck 503 in 420HC which is excellent. Any difference between the Buck & Kershaw 420HC? Thanks Gary

With sharpening and using, I can't tell the difference between my buck 110 and the Link 420hc

Just got my new 1776 today, took it to work for the first time for tons of cutting.
I'm so happy with this knife and I can find nothing displeasing with it.
Real glad I got the black nylon handle too, grip is excellent in my hands.
Very satisfied and extremely happy with my knife.
