Kershaw man looking for a spyderco.....

I would suggest that you look into the Endura - if you can swing the price, a FF ZPD-189 is about as good an intro to Spyderco as you can find. As an aside, the taiwan spydercos are some of the best values available - well worth the money as the quality is some of the best in production knives on the market.

The ZDP-189 Endura doesn't have G-10 scales though. That was one thing he was looking for.

Would be nice if Spyderco had someone like the kershawguy selling there products lol the spyderman we could call him :) Does Spyderco even sale blem knives????

Yeah a SpyderGuy would be nice hehe.

There are factory seconds, but they're only available from the outlet store in Golden and only at a certain time of year.

Don't over look the tenatious and the resilience. For starter knives. No need to drop $100 plus on something you may not like. I loved my Kerahaw's. it's American, well I have found that acouple knife makers who have products made over seas, who have better tolerance that BUCK... Better steels to.

Spyderco Superleaf, Big, G10 love the wire clip, has the comp lock like the Para.

Spyderco Chokwe, G10 x Ti frame lock. I wouldn't call it a heavy use knife, but I also wouldn't hesitate to use it in an EDC role. The Chokwe is an awesome knife, def. one of my three favorite Spyderco's.

I also would second the Southard. If you are a steel junkie then you might be interested to know that CTS-204P is going to be discontinued, and the Southard, PM2 exclusive (sold out), and maybe a Mule in that steel will be the only way to get it. Microtech also used it in a few knives.

Another to consider but doesn't meet the G10 requirement would be the Stretch. The ergos are unbelievable. It is a lockback, I know some don't like lockbacks.

The Sage series is great, 1,2,3 would all make a great EDC choice. They are not large knives, the handles are a good size but the blades are only 3"
