Does anyone know how many of these were built??

I would love to get one, but the only ones I have ever seen for sale have been way too much.

Thanks,

Russ...

I've got two of the silver aluminum ones if you want one Russ, not a Ti though.

I have always wanted one! Sick little knives!

Ask SPXtrader he only owns half of them!

A lucky buddy of mine snagged one when they were still priced south of astronomical. It's a nice little knife. Not sure on the numbers but I remember thinking they weren't available for very long.

Thanks for the replies and the offer Lee!! This will just have to be one that I missed the boat on. :(

Nah, not $525.

I've seen them go around $300, but I've also seen them go south of $200 a while back.

If it sells at $525, then whoever buys it is an idiot. I'd be willing to make an offer on it, but anyone selling that knife for $525 is either so greedy that he'd never come down or a complete tard who knows nothing about knives.

Just like not long ago, I saw a guy selling a Ti/ZDP Leek on Ebay and he was saying that it was "THE MOST RARE KERSHAW KNIFE EVER MADE--- LESS THAN 50 MADE" --- MORE RARE AND VALUABLE THAN THE TILT

Just a bunch of Bay BS

I agree with Spxtrader.
While some of what you say is true, over there that is what I have seen a handful go for. Now if you are talking in our exchange here then yes the $300-$350 is about right.

Bay BS is about the truth if I ever heard it :)

I had to go look. I believe Jonnymac had one on the bay not that long ago. If someone called one of the Kershaw Mafia a tard that knows nothing about knives I can only imagine what that would bring down upon that unfortunate soul!

I really think we should be a bit careful about calling people Tards and greedy for doing good business and getting top dollar on items we have collected and kept nice just for that purpose, I would buy as many as I could get at $300 and I would take $100 to the bank on every one of them. We are talking about collectables here , not a loaf of bread for a starving family.

Within the past month on ebay, I have seen:

a Speedform 3500 sell for $395

a Ti//Zdp Leek sell for $325
a Ti/Zdp Leek sell for $300

a Random Task sold for $295

A 0560 CBCF just sold today for $500.

..................even TiLT SW's selling for less than $500

So, when I say that a Ti Mini Cyclone selling for $525 is ridiculous, I've got a good bit of reasonable evidence to base it on.

Yeah, the tard comment is not necessarily warranted, but it was more directed at people like the guy who had the Ti/Leek up for sale and made all the dumbass comments about it, or the guy who has a semi-rare knife that someone told him is kinda rare, and he puts it up on the bay for hundreds of dollars more than it is worth, doesn't want to listen to logic about what it is actually worth, and then doesn't end up selling, over and over as they relist the item at a ludicrously high price.

So, no offense to that particular individual. The selling price for an item is surely what people will pay for it. So, I agree with you there kershawguy. I collect and keep knives nice, and if I do sell them, I would want to sell them for what they are worth, but as you said, you would buy them at $300 all day and sell them for $400..........you wouldn't buy them at $525 and wouldn't sell them at $525. Why? Because it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, in either instance.

Maybe I should have said anything about the seller, and instead indicated that someone paying $525 for a knife that, while not easily available, can be found for $300, is the actual person with the issue.

well Like I said I would buy any and all I can get at 300, if I could get 50 at that price I would take them all. And the ti cyclone is harder to get than most you listed there, to be honest , I would not be surprised to see it go for $525, I have had a few in my day that I paid a lot to get and would have spent more because I knew I had to have it. I rarely if ever have enough information about another human being to be able to judge them, we never know the whole story, a little grace goes a long way.

Not really, Dave has already explained this. All you have is your speculation on what you feel something is worth. In the real world, an item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Guaranteed the MC Ti/ZDP out there now goes for $500 minimum.

I'll take all of them you can find for $300. Seriously, find me 30 of them. I watched 30 of them sell a year or so ago for $500 a piece, so this begs the question as to whom the tard really is...the guy smart enough to scarf them up new at under 2 bills each or the guy who claims he can get them for $300 today.

I'm here, and I'm waiting...I'll take all you can get at $300 each.

I didn't mean to start any commotion, all I wanted was to find out how rare that knife was.

People will pay what its worth to them. I have paid $300 for one of my TiZDP Leeks, so call me crazy!!

I won't pay that much for a MC, but I'm sure some will and enjoy the knife.

Russ...

You didn't start anything bad. Talking before thinking started it. Made for an short but interesting read and I like it when some insight is passed on to us from the mafia.

Lowest I saw one go for was for $370 on eBay.

BTW cut all the eBay hate. Recognize and understand that you're buying items that were privately listed. Never just take their word for it, do your own research, and only buy from sellers who have very positive feedback. If you get screwed and lied to on eBay than it's more than likely your own fault.

I've been hunting for a Ti mini cyclone for ages. A member here offered me $350 for his, but thats a bit much for me. I don't consider knives as investments to make a quick buck. Nor do I like owning knives that I keep nice and new in the case. Pride of ownership is, of course, a great factor but ultimately it's the material performance gains that I love. I love the design of the leek. So having that same great design in titanium with a supersteel is %110 better. A purple smoke leek is another rarity I've been hunting, but thats just a color variant. It offers no gains over the original. So if I got my hands on a TiZDP mini cyclone I'd keep it forever, and I'd use it! My TiSG2 Junkyard dog is hands down my favorite Kershaw knife to date. I'll never sell it. So why would I keep it mint? Thus it goes in my pocket!

Every Ti framelock has been a home run. Take a well loved model, like the Blur, make it a Ti frame lock, give it a super steel CB blade.... They would fly off the shelves!
Kershaw I'm sick of hunting! Build more Ti Framelocks!!! Please!
