Hello there everyone. Kristina (Ryan's wife) here again with my second for sale post. For those of you that didnt see my last post, As some of you may have already heard, Ryan (Known here as Nevermind35) got in a pretty bad car accident last week. He's going to make it through ok but he definately has a long road ahead of him. Im posting the few knives he already had ready to go up for sale here on Bladeforums.
For sale here is a rare Kershaw Mini Cyclone with the ZDP-189 blade and titanium framelock (model #: 1636 TIZDP). It comes with the original box and is in very good condition, but it is slightly used. By used I mean the pocket clip has been positioned for tip-up carry (which the knife is drilled, tapped and fully capable of doing from the Kershaw factory) and the blade has been honed. It has a very nice almost mirror edge on it, definately an upgrade from what you get from the factory. I dont see any evidence that the knife was ever used for cutting as there arent any scratches or wear marks on the coating. The only marks that are on it are on the handle and they are extremely light "snail trails" or just light marks that you have to get the light shining on it just right to see.
Like other Cyclones, this one can be either assisted opening or manual, your choice. There is a small switch on the back side of the handle that controls that. The blade centering is very close to perfectly centered in the handle when closed and the lockup is right about at 50 % and very sturdy. Enough to make it click open with a positive click but not too much, so it has room for wear. Thats about all I got for this one, if you habe any other questions just let me know.
