Got this one in the mail yesterday - $40 with shipping from eBay - not a bad deal!
From the photos I've seen on the net, I knew I loved the design, and I was not disappointed by the real thing. This is a very well-designed knife. Very comfortable to hold, great ergonomics, excellent weight ballance. The blade shape is great for misc EDC tasks. Materals are high-quality, fit and finish excellent. I don't have anything bad to say about this knife, except maybe that it's a bit too heavy for my liking. But the weight comes with the solid feel. This is a knife I can rely on, even though it's a linerlock. I'm also a big fan of how much thought Kershaw puts into their clip designs to match the overall look and feel of the knife.
One thing - I wish Kershaw made a run of these without the AO option at all. It's nice that you can turn it on and off (although I can't seem to be able to do it without the help of some coth or something, since the switch is pretty tight and tries to tear thru my fingers), but I do not really want the AO option in there at all ... and I'm guessing it contributes a bit to the weight.
Anyway, a great knife overall. And a great buy.
I just cut up a cardboard box and a paper envelope with it to test the cutting ability. The knife feels great in the hand, making cutting motions very natural, effortless, and comfortable. It cuts thru cardboard and paper very nicely in clean straight lines. It'll do great as an EDC, and I'm sure it'd be up to much more demanding tasks. The liner is thick and the lockup secure.
And since a picture is worth a 1000 words:
