Hi,

I've been considering buying Kershaw Nura 3,0 OR Nura 3,5.
Kind of cheaper knives.. But are either worth to buy.
Has anyone carried either.

OR I look for possible alternates. Looking for cheaper knife, cost around 50-80.
Thanks!

As much as I love KAI products, and as much as I expected to love the 3.0 Nura, I don't. Unlike most every other Kershaw I own (to say nothing of the ZT's), the Nura feels cheap. It flips horribly (very weak detent), and just doesn't have the quality feel I've come to expect from Kershaw. One man's opinion. While it's a bit of a different style knife, I am a huge fan of the Kershaw Strobe. It's an excellent flipper, great ergonomics, and a classic Matt Diskin design. It's in your price range as well. Check it out.

hmmm...i would recommend you buy Nura 3,5.

An older post, so you may have made your purchase already, but I'd go for the 3.5 version, a friend sent this out to me from out west, thanks again Raj ;) it's a nice modest knife that takes a keen edge, I would say same bits and steel as in the smaller version, this one flips open easily and locks up well. Here are a few images taken tonight of the knife. On the back spacer they made a cool cutout so you can thread in a paracord lanyard. If you decide to put in a lanyard it's best to remove several inside threads of the paracord so as to make it easier to get it around that pin, otherwise you may never get it to pass through.

I have the 3.0 and like it. The 3.5 didn't feel as good to me, but they are very similar

I've got the 3.5. Mine is ultra smooth and comfortable to use. Lightweigt, absolutely love the clip and the coating, solid lockup. Even though I really like it, I think other Kershaws are better value, and I must admit this brand offers other options I prefer in this price range.

But I like it, easy to carry and really elegant (people always ask to see it). I just wish it had more belly (it is not wide enough for me, just like the Chill), but I think if you like Kershaw you'll like it a lot.

Comparison pic with my Salt, just because I happen to have it here.
