Hi:
Newbie here, just my second post, and I'm wondering if there are any Kershaw OD-2 owners here who could comment on their purchase. I had lost my beloved Kershaw Leek (G-10 handles, S30V blade, spine mounted flipper, just a great EDC,) some time ago (I lose a LOT of knives) and as things are a little tight financially I just ordered the OD-2 as a replacement. I'm not expecting performance or quality quite on par with my Leek, but from what I could glean from YouTube most of the reviews of the OD-2 were pretty positive.

I purchased for less than $20.00 delivered, so my expectations are modest. Still, it would be nice to receive some 'hopeful' validation.

Many thanks.

I picked one up recently on the exchange. It is very light and definately worth the $. I like it.

Hi Captflood -

I was recently given an OD-2 as a gift (Thanks William!).

I am impressed with the quality of the knife. It has a quality look and feel that belies its modest cost.

The unique flipper-type opening device is very interesting, and it works well. I actually prefer it over the speedsafe on a Leek, as it is much easier to close one-handed.

The blade profile is a little smaller than the Leek, but the blade still has the pointy-sharp blade that is very useful for the types of cutting tasks you will likely perform with the small OD-2 as an EDC.

My example does not have a pocket clip, but it is a little smaller than a leek, and it rides in pocket un-noticed.

I think you will enjoy your OD-2 - I know I really like it!

to: 'Slapper' & 'Mqqn'Thanks for the feedback. Really kind of looking forward to receiving it now, which frankly I wasn't before (still mourning the loss of my Leek; hope someone found it and is at least putting it to good use.) And thanks for the photos as well. That's the best up-close I've seen of the 'hidden' flipper mechanism. Seems pretty clever.
