Which is really a misnomer as commonly defined and as above by KVNROURKE. As its use means NO Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. But in reality Alaska is attached to the North American Continent and is therefore "Continental". What it is not is "Contiguous". So really CONUS as properly abbreviated should be "Contiguous US"
I'm just clarifying. The vast majority of people simply say continental but don't mean Alaska.
