There's a Piston thread floating around in the General forum, why not have one or two here? :D

This looks like the perfect EDC blade to me. I'm trying to find something that I don't like about it in the pictures, but I can't. Usually there's something with the clip, or the blade, or the handle, but it just looks perfect. Even the name is cool. It's awesome to see knives evolve like this, the designs get better and better.

Sorry Thomas, but I'm borrowing some of your pics and info.

USA Made, A/O, 3 1/2" 14C28N Blade, G10 scales, MSRP $99.95

I'll be getting one. There are a couple of knives that have my eyeball right now, and this is one of them. The other is the ZT560.

so are you gonna try and sell a bunch of pistons now? :D :p

Maybe when I get my hands on one.;)

We'll see if it dethrones the Skyline. I can say for sure, that I'm picking one of these up. Of course, I'll post my thoughts once I give it a run.

I love the design -- definitely one of the upcoming Kershaw models I'm most excited about.

There are several new designs I'm interested in this year including the Navaja from Spyderco and the Triage from Benchmade. I must say though that I'm most looking forward to the release of the Piston. It's so elegantly simple and the stonewashed finish is perfection.

I think it looks great, and will definitely be getting one. I want one even more now since they changed it to g10 handles.

I hope Kershaw starts producing composite bladed versions of the Piston, Knockout, and/or Echelon. If anyone is wondering, Thomas did say it is possible.

I'm a big fan of Kershaw flippers; this might kick the Skyline out of my pocket if I can get my hands on one.

i must say, i am tired of assisted opening. i really think kershaw could do pretty good if they sold an unassisted version for 5 bucks over msrp.

Indeed, I'd love to see the KVT in a cheaper workhorse knife. That would be nice to play with:thumbup:.

I just really like the look of no thumbstuds, or blade stops. Looks clean.

There is nothing there to get snagged on either.

Looks good. The only caution I'd have would be for that pocket clip. Two-screws pocket clips on non-steel have always worn out too quick on me. Three-screws should be a standard.

I like everything about the knife except for the fact that it's A/O that's kind of a deal killer for me but I think I could live with it the MSRP also looks pretty good as well.

Loved the knife when I handled it at Blade. The 3 upcoming models in this family (Echelon, Piston and Knockout) are all winners and handle unlike anyother Kershaw (or really, production knife) that I have spent much time with. This family of blades are going to be real winners -AND- if you guys don't like them..... it's all on you as far as I can tell ;) Kershaw has addressed just about every gripe any one has had with their product.... The knives are light, fast, thin, ergonomic, comfortable, have deep carry multi position clips, new blade finishes are a real possibility (the machine finished hollows and flats on the protos are beautiful).......... IMO, KAI USA has listened to you and they are just about perfect..... seriously, I think the only way they could get any better is if they were free.... but, they are one smoking deal at the price points.

Well said Dustin.

GPknives pre-order price on them is $59.95 and I am on the "e-mail me when it's in stock" list.
