The Kershaw Premium Skyline Carbon Fiber S30V will be BladeHQ exclusive limited editions and there will be both a black and stonewash blades. You can also order them with matching serial numbers.

Don't know when they'll be available but BHQ now says late July. No production numbers given yet.

Wow, Kershaw is certainly putting out some cool offerings of their classic designs lately.
 
That's cool they're making some with better materials, but I think they're forgetting why the Skyline is so popular. It's a decent edc design that isn't expensive. $100+ for a Skyline? I'll pass.
 
Not to ruffle any feathers but that is absolutely insane money for a Skyline. Pass.

You may not have seen the BF Skyline in S30V a while back. It was in about the same ball park. But instead of a hollow ground blade, it was flat ground, and all awesome. :)

Even so, and I know this is more for a collectors only kind of thing, I just don't think a Skyline is worth that much. Fair disclosure: I'm not a fan of the Skyline in general, but that's not something I hold against others. I'm sure they'll sell all of the $100+ CF Skylines they can make. It's just not something I'd purchase. I also don't own the BF Skyline, even though those show up on the Exchange with regularity.

So, I'm sure this will be a win for Skyline fans, and as a knife guy, I'm glad they'll have something cool to purchase. It's just not for me, that's all.
 
I wish I had the BF one that was ffg with s30v but have no interest in any other Kershaws!
 
Premium materials and limited production drive a premium price, it has nothing to do with it being a Skyline - except if you look at it like "since it is a Skyline, the premium LE version is only $105" -

Then your thinking would be correct.

For those that like Skylines - these are your top of the line versions - so far....

Have a small Skyline collection (14) and have been watching these. Will get the set with matching numbers when available. :)

Absolutely. That is my favorite Skyline.
 
I don't think the price is too far fetched for a USA made product with premium materials.
People pay $100 for a regular old griptilian all day long, but the same price for carbon fiber and s30v is nuts?
With that said, it's not really my cup of tea, I am more than happy with the regular version at less than half that price.
 
We should have our first batch in the next week or so. I've handled the knife, and it is nice! The carbon fiber handles and premium S30V steel take this knife to another level. The only other knife with carbon fiber and S30V for around $100 that I can think of is the Spyderco Sage 1 (another favorite!). Kershaw really hit this one out of the park.



 
Last time blade HQ did a kershaw skyline sprint run of the blue with the black wash they posted only 211 made .
