I have a question for the Kershaw'ers out there. I once saw a Kershaw knife on evil bay for sale and I cant remember what it was called or the model number so I thought I would ask you guys. It looked like a Roughneck 1010 but it appeared to have a silver metal guard instead of the 1010's molded in type. Can you help me out? What was it called and where can I find one?,,Thanks in advance.,,,VWB.

I'm not real sure, but are you talking about the 1029 Bear Hunter? It's handle is co-polymer too, but no metal bolsters.

The Deer Hunter had a penolic handle with brass bolsters front and back. 4" AUS8 blade, a little over 8" total length and a nice sheath. They're still available, just google Kershaw 1030. I'll bet this is the knife you're asking about!

I've Googled the ones you mentioned. None of these are it. I wish I had of purchased the one I saw. Or at least wrote down the model number. Thanks for trying.,,,VWB.

Sounds like a 2010, six inch sawback clip with silver bolster. I got one over ten years ago from Blue Ridge, but don't see them around much. Nice sturdy knife, but a little big for my needs.

It was called the "Roughneck 2" 1997-2002 , Nice knives I still see one every now and then, but not many. MSRP in 2002 was $74.95
