Unique design.
I had to get one. Ordered one yesterday and today my brand new Kershaw R.A.M. Black Tungsten DLC Coated 1910CKT knife got shipped!
Also, my nickname as well as the first 3 letters of my first name and user name are "Ram". Enough said.
How are you liking it so far? I loved mine and it's one of the few knives that I've given away that I miss! I forgot to get my dad a birthday present last year so I just grabbed my RAM and gave that to him which he loves but I have missed it since the day I gave it to him.

Mine got shipped today so I won't receive it until sometime next week.
Agreed (the serration chipped on one of my serrated RAM knives) - Now where would one find a new DLC coated Kershaw RAM nowadays though? That's the trouble... Maybe the large south american rainforest?
Does anyone know why they discontinued the Kershaw RAM (I suppose floorspace, sales etc.. are all reasonable guesses, but do we have an official reason as to why it was discontinued?)
I am liking this design more and more as I break mine in. There were a few all black ones on Ebay last week. Is that the same as DLC? I'm thinking about trying to find a new, plain blade. black handle one for EDC when I can save up some extra cash.
Received my Kershaw R.A.M. today. Great EDC knife: very fast opening and fairly compact.

Very Sweet !! So that is the illusive DLC one. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for?
I see a few of them in different styles starting to show up on Ebay and the prices keep going up!
I am still considering trying to find a plain serrated blade for EDC.
I think Kershaw has a lifetime warranty in case the blade were to chip.
I think the more we discuss it here the more they are showing up on Ebay and like I said .. The prices just keep going up?

Were you able to get Kershaw to warranty the blade after the serration chipped?
I have never used my kershaw warranty - I own a Kershaw Cyclone (the full size model without the on/off switch) for four years without any issues.... two kershaw echelons and 4 kershaw ram knives 2 dlc coated plain edge, 1 satin combo edge and 1 satin plain edge.
I was cutting on pvc with the serrations and one chipped - that's my own doing so I have never asked or dealt with kershaw about that particular issue (as I did it myself and it was not a fault of the knife, I don't think they owe me to fix it).
The other issue is that most of my kershaws are blem models so technically (to the best of my knowledge) that means that they are not covered by warranty.
A certain auction site has a satin combo edge RAM sub 60 shipped (if a blem version from kershawguy is not up your alley)
One thing to keep in mind is this is a discontinued knife and as such the warranty isn't going to replace a knife/blade they don't have parts for. They will make it right with you but you will probably have to choose a different knife.I heard back and chipped or damaged serrations are covered under warranty for a new one.
