Kershaw Rainbow Leek - a pictorial review

The finish still looks great, and all he has managed to do is round the point a bit..

Many thanks for that input - the Rainbow Leek won Blade Show 2002 Overall Knife of the Year - so the pre-production knife was pre-June/2002 just over a year old?

Can you see any scratches at all on the finish?

Thanks

That rainbow leek looks awesome, UnknownVT. I might just get one myself.

I have a regular leek and love it. I just got a Camillus Heat from ebay and although I like that too, I am disappointed at not having a safety lock for when the blade is closed.

Thank you for the input.

Safety should be a priority, first and foremost -

When I first got the Leek I tried various ways to open the Leek -
like dropping the knife - deliberately trying to make the knife fall on its index-open/flipper even actually throwing the knife to the ground (carpetted) - I even smacked the knife on on a pad of paper on the table on its flipper - but none of those ad-hoc tests managed to open the knife "accidentally" or otherwise.

So since I've owned the Leek I have not used its safety.
(However I can't comment on the Camillus Heat)

In the end use of the safety is an individual decision.
