I bought this knife from Kershawguy's blem sale last week, and to my dismay the bevel was extremely uneven on this knife. I didn't feel it was enough to warrant sending back, being that it was advertised as a blem knife and that could very well be the reason for the blem.
It started bugging me, so I took it to a local knife shop to have it rebeveled to matching angles. Long story short, they goofed. Basically, they nicked the back edge of the blade and the thumbstud with the grinder. They obviously did not charge me for this sharpening job, but they did not finish, either. So I have a moderately sharp, moderately well re-beveled knife, that I don't want.
They offered to pay the difference in cost for me to get a replacement, so I need to get rid of this guy. Besides the grind mark on the base of the blade and the thumbstud, the bevel is actually semi-decent as far as angle goes, so this knife still has some hope.
Anyone looking for a cheap beat-em-up of reasonable quality with a good steel, this is the ticket... what it really needs to be placed on a proper sharpening setup (unlike this jackass knife shop used), and have the edge cleaned up. After that, it's be very close to back to its "one heck of a knife" status.
I'd like $40 shipped for the knife, but will consider offers if nobody steps up at that price.
