Kershaw RAM diehards

Love the RAM. My favorite mid priced Kershaw. Really wish they would have came out with other steel options though.

There was a whole case of misprinted red Snap-on ones sold off at the factory sale for $29 each. I should have grabbed more than one.

I have one that I need to carry more often (like tomorrow!). What I wind up carrying more often is the Ram's cousin, the ZT 0500 MUDD.

A RAM 1910 just sold on the forum last night for 70 bucks, if I would have seen this thread I would have bought it...

I got that one :) !!! I have owned 2 RAM's in the past but sold or traded them at different points. I went to scoop up a new one on the 'bay and saw crazy prices and the word "DISCONTINUED" :grumpy: glad i got this one.

Cool features on the RAM. I had a couple early on to try them out, but they just didn't grow on me. Although its extremely smooth and felt comfortable, I just found it too ugly.

But it's so slick looking!

I like the choils (plural) it fits my hands perfectly - but I can see how someone with giant hands might not prefer them.

Anybody else take out one of the lock springs on these? i find it makes the firing and flipping much more enjoyable. love the black on black...

Wish I had another so I could EDC the RAM once more. Such a great knife for the price (what they were, prices are just crazy now:D). I still kick myself for not picking up a few blems from Dave when I had the chance. Oh well, still have the memories:thumbup:

I remember buying my RAM on clearance at Cabela's for a practically criminal price, and still not being convinced that it was a wise purchase. On one hand, the knife is 100% high quality, but on the other, the look and feel just haven't grown on me. Every now and then, I pick it up again and think "Today is the day I finally bond with this knife," but it hasn't happened yet.

That said, I can't bring myself to part with it either.

The Hawk D.O.G. is very similar and the lock button is placed better (IMO). All it really needs is some custom scales.

I'm in the process of trying to get some made out of Wood or Rubber.
