Hey there,
I just picked up a Kershaw Random Leek from Chesapeake Knife and Tool. I saw the ad for it in the Blade Magazine from a few months ago.
I love Wharny blades and this one is no exception. I really like the Random Task and have used the heck out of it. I also have the Boa, a boron carbide Chive, and a regular Leek.
I find the Random leek fits really well in my hand. I have only had it for a few days but I have used it to cut cardboard, plastic, and some rope, not to mention a few apples and oranges.
This knife cuts easily through all of those. I seem to really feel in control of this knife when putting pressure on the victim to be cut.
Regarding the size of the Random Leek, it is nice. I always wear a suit and tie on Mondays and I found that it did not pull my pocket out of shape today when I was at work.
I am by no means a knife tester so I will wait until the knife gets into the hands of a more experienced person to see what they think.
I for one think this knife is good looking,is light enough to carry in different clothes, and feels like the extension of the hand when cutting.
For those who like Wharny blade knives I think this is a must for you.
Who else has one?? Let me know what you think.
I will attach some pics for comparison when my Gold membership, which i just re-upped for, kicks in.
I can email pics to someone who wants to post them for me in the meantime.
be safe all,
Mike
