Kershaw Safe Queen Recommendations?

A totally different kind of Kershaw that I consider beautiful and well built is the Wild Turkey Damascus VG1. I think it is classy. There were only 250 made. Kershawguy had them for awhile. If your a Kershaw collector I think it is a interesting, quality addition to your collection. It was pretty cheap a couple months ago $54. Made in Japan. There are many more tactical styled Kershaws out there but for the price I think it would be a nice addition. Its a great knife for a wedding or when a tactical folder is not an acceptable carry. Its not the Kershaw norm. It has already doubled in value in two months based on internet prices. If your going to spend hundreds on other Kershaws I think this is a worthy addition and adds diversity to your Kershaw collection.

The E.T., now discontinued, was one of the most unique and interesting Kershaw-branded products ever. Interest to collectors? Long-term desirability? Future value? I have no idea, but a Completed Items search on the auction site should be insightful. I've put one away in the safe.

There's a used one going on Ebay for 166 right now, I think, and a couple of NIB ones for like 450. Definitely one of the must-have Kershaws, I'd say.

Holy crap!
At those prices I wouldn't buy one for the safe. Maybe go back in time...
Examining only the ones that have actually sold, it appears as if $100-200 is the going value for unused examples. If you could score one for close to $100 it'd be a good addition to your collection.

What about ZT's? ;)

Zt's are also close to my heart. Any USA made knives under the KAI brand will always stay in my collection . What model is the one in that picture? It looks like I'm going to have to pick one of those up.... If they are not impossible to find.

If you can find it you could get the Spyker. It's a Spyderco/Kershaw collaboration. It was sold under the Spyderco name but still a Kershaw as well. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415997031.596162.jpg

Not my picture.

Tilt
Volt
Ruby
Speedform
Offset

There are a few others, can't think of them at the moment.

Thank you for the recommendations. I am currently "watching" an Offset on Sleaze-Bay, but do not know if I should pull the trigger. I haven't yet mainly because of the price that they are asking.

Haha, that was my exact thoughts when I was searching on Ebay and saw those ridiculous prices. Believe me, if I could go back in time I would have snatched every discontinued knife available :D (especially after seeing some of insane going prices on some rare models).

The Red Smoke Chive (1600BR) is quite nice, if you don't mind 420HC steel.
Also the Blackwash Composite Leek (1660CBBW).

Kershaw RAM. I don't know if the OP mentioned it or if anyone else has, but it needs to be mentioned either initially or additional times because the 1910 RAM is one of the best folding knives ever produced in a factory. Finger-choil that doesn't eat up cutting edge and is very comfortable and natural to use, flipping action that is insane and/because it works synergistically with the lock mechanism - which is also unique, rock-solid, and easy to use - combined with an easy-to-maintain steel and plenty of customization options.

Some that I cherish are the old High Tech series (from the '90's, I think); Ti and G10 Will Wild Turkey, Hawk, Starkey Ridge, Talon. Also, from the same time period, the original Random Task and Mini Task. And of course, more recent, all of the versions of the Skyline!

Edit:
Also, if you are so inclined, all of the Kershaw (Breakout, Rogue) and ZT (0610ST, 0650ST) autos. There were several hard-to-find colors of the Breakout.

I appreciate all the information. I am now currently bidding on one on Ebay :D. Hopefully I can add such a great knife to my collection!

They all look nice. Thank you for the information. If my state allowed for autos then I would definitely pick up the ZT 0601 that you mentioned. You have to love all the knife laws :grumpy:

It's the 0500 MUDD
