I have a Kershaw Scallion and the speed safe is the only thing that is making me hold on to it. The lock is the weakest liner lock i have ever seen if you go outside and start to carve wood the lock fails. What should i do? do i contact kershaw or is everyones like this?

SEND IT BACK! Kershaw will fix it. Could you post pictures of the lock? Is there excessive bladeplay with the lock engaged, or does it just slip off the tang?

ill try and get pics up when i get home. but the lock is just a lil wiggle but the lock is weak. You could make the lock fail just pushing with about 15lbs of effort or less with your hands and it fails ill call them later and tell you what they say.

I understand the lock becomes disengaged easily. Does it disengage due to excess blade movement, or does the blade remain stationary and the lock bar slip of the part of the blade where it makes contact?

Send it in. Kershaw will hook you up with no worries.
