Kershaw says 440c, so how sould that compare to these newer steels as an edc?
sure glad to see this forum, here is a photo of my shallot blade, can you tell what type steel it is? also, in the second photo I have shown the liner lock at full lock on my knife, yet as you can see, the liner only moves over about halfway, and so looks "partially" engaged. does that mean I should send mine back to Kershaw for a refit?

Thomas mentioned it is probably 13C26 and on later models it has changed to 14C28N.
