Kershaw Skyline: open with thumb-stud?

i don't have a problem using my skyline's thumbstuds. it seems to open the blade faster and with more "oomph" using the studs than the flipper, but maybe that's just me. and definitely push forward more than down.

If you know how to use em, it can be the fastest opening thumb stud knife ever. Push it forward, not up, it will open so fast it will scare you.

+1 on this if you push straight towards the ramp the blade pops out way faster than with the flipper you just need to know how to deploy it!

After practicing and working on the flipper for my Skyline, I found how amazingly fast the thumb-stud can be. Of course my blade tension has loosened up quite a bit. I can giggle the blade back and forth just a little bit. I've probably opened the knife with the flipper over 1000 times....:D

With the flipper I can open it just as fast as you can open an automatic knife, but I really can't use the flipper. Probably because I've got a small injury on my right thumb, and I suck with my left hand.

the thumbstud on my skyline(which is brand new) is very uncomfortable to open with. it is possible but it hurts!(maybe my finters are too sensitive?) i dont know about anyone else but ive ripped my thumb to pieces with that thumbstud, i prefer the flipper on this knife. the flipper is a lot more natural than using the thumb stud on this knife

It's a cool little knife for the money whatever way works for you.
The fact you can get it at Walmart is pretty cool too.
Makes it an easily replaceable folder. Always a good thing with a folder model that your fond of.:D

Got one last week and for me the flipper is the way to go. I really like this knife and the red handle is pretty cool. I think I might get a black one to go with it.

To be honest I've never tried before, but it's pretty simple.
