I know they are not the same size, but I'm tying to decide between these 2 as a lightweight EDC with a comfortable, easy to hold grip. Thanks

out of those two, i think you just made your choice, get the skyline.

p.s. do you have big hands? have you also considered the bucklite max medium folder?
 
I had the 486, it is plenty light. The handle for me is more comfortable than the slab-sided Skyline. The 486 has a more rounded handle profile. Both companies have outstanding warranties. FWIW, the stud on the 486 is in a bad spot, there is no way to open it quickly, at least I couldn't manage it. I gifted mine to a friend who needed it more than me.

if the handle is anything like the buck protege i use to have, it's comfortable.
 
I had the 486 and I wasn't impressed neither with the project nor the quality. The handle is long, thin and plastic, like a magic marker. I'll pick the Skyline.
