Kershaw Skyline stealing pocket time

Absolutely! My collection is mostly high end (Chris Reeves and customs). I picked up my first Skyline last week and it's been in my pocket ever since. I wasn't expecting much. I was just looking for a cheap knife that I could bang up and get dirty/wet and not worry about losing. What I got instead is an almost perfect EDC knife. I can't believe how right Kershaw got it with this knife. Weight, slimness, single liner, blade size and shape, handle size and shape, blade to handle ratio. Multiple opening methods: flipper, thumb studs (I can flick or open controlled), or pinch the blade out. Also, little things that I've come to appreciate and almost never see in production knives, such as the nice blasted blade finish, the slightly rounded edges on the blade stock and liner, the precise fit of the blade in the handle (there is almost no room between the blade and both scales when closed. Throw in a pretty good blade steel, G10, and made in USA and I simply cannot believe that this knife cost me $35 new from a retailer.

I got this knife last Thursday, and I have 5 more Skylines on the way to me now. 4 more to go for the complete set. That's how much I think of this knife. It doesn't rival my CRK's and customs for craftsmanship, but it does rival them for pocket time, and I don't think it can be beat for quality in it's price range.

It's probably the best casual EDC I have. Put it in your pocket and forget it's there. It's not the toughest knife, but the Sandvik steel is by far the easiest steel I have for getting surgical sharp. I want to get a black one now. Then I can tiger stripe the normal blade with acid, then swap it out with my BRN. Then I'll have an all black Skyline and a ZT 0302 style tan and tiger stripe Skyline. Mmmm.....
