I really love this knife, I buy so many knives and most of them get sold or traded or put in my knife drawer/bag. Knives costing several hundered dollars have passed through my hands, I have held customs and and some of the most highly regarded knives in the industry, yet I am happiest with a $35 Skyline.

I think it strikes just the right chords with me, and it is fun to use, I really enjoy cutting things with it, I love the way it feels in my hand and I spend a lot of time just flipping it open and closed. It is so smooth and precise, feels like a finely tuned instrument.

The blade is a great slicer, it is thin yet doesn't feel delicate or fragile, it inspires confindence and I don't mind using it and getting it dirty.
The handle is thin yet comfortable, very lightweight and the way my index finger sits in the pronounced cut out makes it a joy to handle. I like the fact that one side doesn't have a liner, as I like looking at the G-10.

It is one of the best apple slicers I own, especially out of my more modern knives. It cuts everything well, from food prep to boxes to zip ties. My edge grind came a little crooked/uneven out of the box, but it sharpens so easily and it takes such a screaming sharp edge I don't mind putting it on a stone.

I could probably survive with just this one knife for the rest of my life, but I don't have to. I am still a knife nut and will continue to search for the next best thing, but this knife will be in my pocket until I do.

Right now I have my eye on an FFG Orange Endura 4 and one of the new American Lawman (had orignal and sold it). My Delica 4 is still my go-to knife if I am doing manual labor or going to a bad area, but the skyline follows me every where else.

I urge you to get one and see for yourself, no wait, I dare you, lol.

I sure love mine! Sees the most pocket time of any of my folders. Razor sharp, light weight and the perfect size for EDC.

The Kershaw Skyline truely is an amazing knife for the money. I would really like to see this model offered with Kershaw's wonderful Composite blade steel or maybe even Elmax.

Can't decide . . . Delica or Skyline . . .
If I could only have one knife, it would probably be the Delica, it is just so solid and I know it will last forever, plus it can take more than the Skylina can without breaking or chipping. I also think back locks wear better than liner locks do over time.
The Skyline is definitely a better slicer, though if you get a FFG Delica they are almost tied. Just get them both, lol.

I too have / had many expensive blades. As I sit here typing I have my Skyline in my pocket. It's a sweet little knife. The build quality far exceeds is pricepoint. I also have a Zing, the ergo's are close and the quality is the same as my Skyline. Either way .... You win!! Kershaw rox. John

I have a Zing as well, and the quality is the same, but I never carry it. It is one of those knives that you don't carry or use and you can't think of a good reason why.
An interesting thing I noticed when comparing the zing to the skyline, is that the zing has a much thicker blade even though the knife itself is quite a bit smaller.

I agree the skyline is a great knife, especially for its price. Ergos are great, fit & finish on par with knives costing triple, and it's extremely fun to flip open. However, I sold mine because I just couldn't get used to the pocket clip. I dislike tip down carry and it rides way too high when it's configured tip up. Just my thoughts.

I love my skyline but stopped carrying it when it started to rust like crazy. I just ordered a new one with black blade and brown G-10! Can't wait for it to get here!

The cliop in the tip up position (the only way to carry IMO) does expose a lot of the knife, makes it easier to draw but also shows a lot of knife in public. Would be great to have a custom low rider clip made but the sad part is it would cost the same as the knife, lol.

I wish they would have left the as ground finish instead of the easy to rust bed blast. My biggest gripe with most kershaws, I love the finsh they used on the Lahar, the beadblast makes the knife look cheaper than it is, and is very prone to rust issues compared with to any other finish.
I don't have any problems with rust on the rest of my knives save for my carbon steel slip joints, but if the weather is wet or damp I take the Kershaw out and replace it with any other knife cause that beadblast will rust in a heartbeat.

i just ordered an orange skyline.
i chipped the blade on my red skyline so i sold it and rebought the orange one instead.
should receive it this week.

skyline is my favorite folder

I really dig my Skyline. I'd love to see one with premium materials (Ti framelock and Elmax would be stellar).

i got the orange skyline today...nice stuff.
it is a blem model so it has the XXX on the blade.....

nice bright color though.

got it from kershawguy on this forum.
