I have both, and I'd probably bet the framelock would hold up a little better. They both seem perfectly strong, however. I've got no worries either way. In any case, I think a very sudden and very intense load might have a negative effect on blade integrity with the combined effects of having a hole in it and having a ton of pressure against the weakest area. I don't think this is a realistic concern though, in all honesty. Just more of a hypothetical scenario. We'll let Cliff decide, I suppose. The Blue Bump's frame is very beefy though.
On both my stud and frame lock, the lockup is perfect every time. I'm especially impressed with my Blue Bump...people debate where proper lockup should be, but in my humble opinion, the blue bump shipped with the lockup in exactly the right place--which, again, in my opinion, is just short of being the center of the tang. Very good lockup, plenty of room for potential wear (although this doesn't seem to wear at all!). Flip a coin to choose which one you buy this week, and save for a few more months and get the other. That's what I'm doing (the stud lock used for example here is on my Mini Mojo, which might not be a perfect reflection of the spec bump's stud lock).
