Kershaw "speed-safe" question

I like the speedsafe knives very much. I have seven of them. I collect mostly auto knives so the speedsafe got my attention. It is a legal switchblade. Just flip the thumb stud or flipper depending on the design. The design of the knives is also very nice. Thanks Ken. Considering that the designer, Ken Onion, knives sell for around $1000. if you can find one, this is a way for us poor working folks to enjoy the speedsafe knives.
 
Ive used speed safe knives for the last 3-4? years? since their introduction. Ive never had a problem with any. I use a:

whilrwind
avalanche
leek
chive
scallion
rainbow leek
etc

That's very interesting, about a Sears's version...I'll hafta' look for one.

I too really like the Speed-Safe opening feature. I have a black/gold Leek on order, I can't wait!

I have a Blackout and a Whirlwind and I like both of them. I have never had one open in my pocket and the Speed-safe opening is positively addictive. My Kershaws are both amazingly sharp and super easy to keep that way.
