Kershaw starting Sprint Runs!

That's a bangin price for that model and a sprint to boot! Love the random leek blade and the yellow looks great too! I know im getting one!

Best,

JuJu

Well guys I don't know how exclusive this run will be but it will sell out fast. The price is right for S30V, cheap actually. I have always had good luck with Kershaws heat treat on whatever steel they use. Still have and use an 1660CKTST from 2004 that is S30V with DLC, I think it was the first Leek to use S30V. It's held up amazingly well over the years. I just ordered two, get them while they last.

Well I ordered one. Never got a chance to handle a Random Leek, so I wasn’t gonna wait...excited for when it arrives in da BK!

and what annoys me is kershaw is doing new models, like this husker, in 4cr13 steel :(

it's truly sad - why don't they spin off a lower-tier off brand like mtech... maybe they could call it kteck? ; )

Sold out as I was checking out. That's a big bummer, this was one of the few sprints I would have been interested in. :(

On the other hand, I guess I do prefer the framelock Leeks... And I've probably been buying too many knives lately. :)

the copper handle leek - but with s30v instead of cpm-154... that would be insta-buy for me

I caved and bought one too. I'm so disappointed in myself. I was able to resist a Mini Ritter Hogue but gave in to a yellow Leek! I've been on a no-buy string for a few weeks now...

Meh, near miss for me. I'd have bought one if it was just a black or stonewashed blade. Blackwash doesn't do it for me.

I can't even count how many Leeks have been through my hands over the years but I've never kept one around for long due to an aversion to SpeedSafe. That being said, I really like yellow, and cerakote, and S30V, and the price is a real breath of fresh air given all the recent increases so I nabbed one. Who knows, maybe this will be the Leek that sticks around.

Hmm... I think I'm gonna do a blade swap and throw the Random S30V blade on a carbon fiber handle.

This has me fairly excited to see what Kershaw releases next. I wasn't expecting such a reasonable price. Now if we could only get them to come back to the forums....

I think that @Mako was referring to was a that they released a ZT with AO that looks more that Kershaw that ZT, anyways, any new bareknuckle sprint should be awesome as a beater or backup knife, really like that design, more than most ZT’s

The information conveyed in that 30 seconds video ads can be well covered by 4 words... should at least contain some example models etc. o_O

How is that? The Leek is not a new model and has been made in different configurations since 2002...

Grandmaster Grandmaster is on the right track.

I didn't mention the Leek specifically. Watch the video in the OP's post announcing Kershaw's new sprint program. In general, too many ZTs are already virtual Kershaw sprints (e.g. ZT0470 vs Kershaw Atmos, ZT0095 vs Kershaw Link) which blurs the distinction between the two brands. To fans of the ZT brand (including myself), who have already been stilted with few new ZT releases and even less "new designs" over the past 2-3 years, it further signals Kai's strategic shift in resources to the Kershaw brand at the expense of the ZT brand. What did ZT announce at the last show: one new design (ok good) and a new ZT box. Hey everyone come to my booth to see my new box (for christ sake).

Don't get me wrong, I celebrate the development of the Kershaw brand and hope their new sprint program is a success.

In! I had a leek about 8 years ago that was lost in a break-in. Always really liked it and this is a great way to step it up a notch.
