Kershaw Storm II...Great Knife for the money!

It doesn't have a lock but it won't open in your pocket.

It is not an assisted opener. The flipper is very quick and smooth but there is no torsion bar to boost the opening action.

It is tip-down, so clipped to your pocket, there is no particular tendency to open.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought it had the assist like my leek, onion, and chive have.

I ended up getting a few of these due to this thread.....great knife for sure at the Walmart price.....

So once again Kershaw comes through and makes it tough for companies making knives three times the cost to justify even taking them seriously when you can have all they offer and more many times for far less investment. I'm talking about the Tim Galyean designed JunkYardDogII in case you are wondering. I love this thing as much as my Storm II!

STR

I've been way too influenced by STR! Ever since he let me fondle his Zero Tolerance folder (301, I think it was)...

Now I, too, am the proud owner of a JYDII. Rather...I will be, once New Graham gets a few more in stock.

Joking aside, I find it pays...and pays well...to pay attention to people who do more than just admire and collect objects. A mod-er/maker knows a lot more than we mere collectors, no matter how much research and personal observation we accumulate.
