If any of you have been following my Tilt thread, you will know that Thomas W. is one awesome guy! For those who haven't seen the thread, here is a link to it: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/789030-Kershaw-Tilt-again?highlight=tilt
The last few pages have the posts from Thomas where he offers to send me a Tilt. I was in shock. Today, I got home to find a package from KAI U.S.A. containing my Tilt! At last! Over a year waiting (since my first pre-order which fell through) and all thanks to Thomas, I finally have one in my hands! It is even better than I thought it would be. Fit and finish, tolerances, looks, feel, everything about it is amazing. I will post some pictures once my camera is done charging, but I was able to get a quick unboxing video with it. I may sound a bit over excited but I think I was pretty calm :rolleyes:.

Anyway, thanks again to Thomas and for those of you ranting about how amazing the Tilt is, I can now say I fully agree! :D

Congrats on the fine knife. Thomas is a real good guy. I had that knife preordered too from every major knife store online and I missed it at every single one. I was pretty bummed. Can't win em all. ;) enjoy the knife.
 
I know the feeling Rev. ;) I guess they are just "too" limited to make it out to all the dealers. I hope you can find one- maybe score from the second run.
 
That is awesome. Thomas is the man. And the Tilt looks amazing as well. I will have to read up to get the scoop on them. This is the first I heard of it.

Congratz on your new blade! I really wish they kept the blade satin like in the protos, the coating really turns me off. Everything else about the knife looks fantastic though...
 
I never got through on my preorders either. However; It's so cool to see such a genuine and positive reaction to the awesomeness of this knife! Thomas W and KAI, we love you:thumbup: Looking forward to the review DrOpPoInT1110:D

Thanks! Initially, I was also somewhat disappointed about the coated blade but since everything else is blacked out, I think it really works well. To me, the Tilt looks like the "stealth bomber/fighter" of the knife world.
 
i am still waiting for mine from knifecenter, when i asked about them and said "they come when they come, right?" the woman said "thats what we hope" with an amout of uncertainty in of her voice

I agree, KAI and Thomas are the best! And I hope you can get your hands on one. if you haven't, ask Kershawguy/Dave if he thinks he'd get enough in from the next run to put you on the list. Might be a bit late but better than never!

Yeah, that wouldn't sit too well with me. Although I was pretty ticked off at the dealer I ordered from , at least they gave a definite answer...albeit wayyy too late IMO.
 
Hey hey now, he owes me too... i'm the one who mentioned to Thomas the idea that he should get one! :D just kidding, enjoy bro, and especially enjoy it as much as you can until this weekend, i'll be over to drool over it! haha

If I were you, I'd talk to kershawguy just in case. I have my current pre-order with him. If anything, you may be able to get one off the secondary market before the prices go astronomical.
 
Congrats!

I really have grown attached to my Tilt -

I suppose I have found that smoothness in the action of a folder is what endears me to them, and the Tilt sets the bar, and sets it very high.

I felt fortunate to be able to buy one after waiting over a year (thanks Dave!), let alone have one gifted from Thomas himself.

Hold onto that blade!
