Kershaw Tilt...why

My two have such different flipping actions. The lower serial number, takes a lot of pull to get it started, but then it just flies open. The other just opens with the slightest pull.

But, I love them both equally just like you should your kids! :D

Wait, why does yours say "4001" and mine says "4001SW?" Mine is #0375

My 0352 has SW, different runs, is why. They also changed the lockup on the last run, to a more straight cut. Because with the angled cut of the first stonewashed run, some had blade play problems, even though both mine are equally as solid.

Oops, didn't see your response. Mine actually has some vertical blade play issues. I've been questioning sending it in to Kershaw.

Such great pics of a truly awesome knife. However, I've never held one and I can't help but wonder how it looks in hand. Can any of you guys/gals get a pic holding this bad boy?

Making more would just dilute the love, the attention, the exclusivity and all of that good stuff. Everyone wanted Twinkies when there was a Twinkie shortage. Now that there are plenty of Twinkies, no one cares.

...... :)

I'm still planning on making a smaller version of the Tilt, but Im still saving up for that venture. I want it all titanium with a nice steel for the blade...3v, s110, m390, k390, etc.

Best example I've heard for explaining how making something limited makes it more desirable. Personally I have no love for the tilt, it's just not my cup of tea.

I know folks love this knife, and that's great. But it looks a lot like the Yojimbo series, which I have never liked. Had one; sold it. I'm not fond of the straight cutting edge; neither do I like the large choil. The blade-steel is excellent, and I'm sure it's very smooth. It's good that not everyone wants one...

And thus we have a market. :)
