Or Spyderco Stretch II (carbon fiber handles/ZDP-189 blade)? Should I consider something from Benchmade as well?

I'm looking for a new high-end production folder with high-tech materials/steels, price is not an issue. I have a Zero Tolerance 0301, how does these knives compare against it when it comes to toughness, quality and finish?

Thanks in advance.

If you already have a ZT-301. Then a good alternative would be the Spydie CF Mili, I like the BG-42 steel personally. It rides light as a feather and although it is a liner lock, it is a very well fitted and well designed lock. The grip is cut in such a way as to expose the end grain of the fiber which gives you a very secure grip even when wet.

CPM S90V is pretty much unparalleled in the production market today, ZDP-189 comes close, and may be better for certain jobs, but as an EDC Steel S90V is tops.
If you like big knives you need the Military, it might even make that ZT-301 look a little less macho.
Kershaw also has a project in the works using CPM S110V (an upgrade of CPM S90V). It should be a very high end knife, if it ever comes around.

If you want something from Benchmade, wait until they make something for their blue or black class in CPM M-4. They've been pretty quiet on the materials front for a while.

Thanks for your input. The carbon fiber/CPM-S90V Military definitely seems to be an excellent knife, but I'm still open to other suggestions... Any thoughts on the Tyrade? I'm a sucker for Ken Onion designs...
