Both are very inexpensive framelocks and I've decided I'm getting one or the other along with a Native for my next knife purchases. Which would you guys recommend?

well make sure and get the native. as far as the other 2 I've read a couple of posts that the bm is pretty good for the money. You might consider passing on both and watch the exchange part of the forum. You could very well get a better knife for less money. later, ahgar

You can also consider Camillus cuda EDC.
I have posted some pics of it in knife review and testing...

Probably, but I'm going into this knowing that. :)

I'm just attracted to the designs of both, and having held them each they feel solid enough. Only negative thing I've heard about either really is the Vapor has lock / blade play issues after a lot of abuse. I don't abuse my knives though so I think I'd be ok.

get the Benchmade you can't go wrong with them the whole constuction of the knife is better.

o i deffanately second the choice of a camillus EDC i like them better than either the kershaw or BM

I vote the Kershaw Storm or Storm II. Better blade steel and a super value in frame lock folders that are Made in the USA. The Vapor is quite nice for the money too though.

I agree, i think the storm would be a good desicion

I don't really like the size / weight / ergonomics of the storm line as much as vapors.

Have you considered the Buck Mayo Cutback? I prefer it to the Vapor and Monochrome in looks and ergos.

I have the Vapor II and Monochrome and think the Monochome is a higher quality knife. It's very solid.

I have a Monochrome for EDC because it's a simple & reliable frame lock knife. The blade is useful & wide, and gets very sharp with a few touches from time to time. The steel scales don't give you the best grip, but I fixed it tiying a lanyard leather cord from the knife to my wrist.
