Kershaw ZDP Leek pics.

I'm no expert, but I've taken my 440A Leek apart plenty of times, no problem. The one thing I would be worried about is that some people have stated (I don't remember, nor do I feel like disassembling my Leek at this time) that there's no ball detent on the lockbar, because that function is fufilled by the torsion bar when in the closed position. From a design point of view, I'd have to agree, but let's see if somebody is actually willing to take theirs apart again.

I can't speak fot thr TI/ZDP version, but Lucky Bob is correct on the lack of detent hole/notch on the 440a versions.

Just to add, there is no detent hole/notch on the TI/ZDP either.

The AO spring keeps the blade closed as well as assisting the opening. I think it's not a good idea to remove it, and may be unsafe, opening in you pocket if you forget to slide the safety, or if the safety loosens. You can tighten the pivot, but I doubt that is fun to open! Wait for the JYD! No AO, positive detent. It works beautifully! I had a chance to play with Thomas's in Oregon, in April! I can't wait!

I did same what cmd dit - attach CR liner to my ZLeek and it looks and feels just gret and I also replace clip to the end of the handle (tip-up position):

Nozh2002 Great Pics Man!!!

What is that sexy knife laying on-- sand paper? Perfect lighting really shows the sweet grind on that Leek. I get two of those babies in a couple of days! :)

By the way, what is a CR liner? And what's wrong with using the pocket clip?

1. It is foam packing material.
2. Sorry it is my tpyo - CR lanyard or "Reeve Coil Knot"

Thanks, Vassili.

I should have known that you would never put such a beautiful knife on sand paper!:)

Does the lanyard ever snag on stuff? I sell aftermarket services for overhead bridge cranes and walk through a lot of steel mills and Machine shops and would hate to have it fall out?

You probably keep the lanyard in the pocket though.

Thanks, Vassili.

Vassili-

Your pictures are always OUTSTANDING!!!

Thanks-I really enjoy them.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Great pictures and an awesome knife!

But I hate the lanyard/fob.:o
Maybe black, grey, blue, or even white would look better.

I like the leather lanyard. I may have to do that myself. I got mine back from the spa today. I already shaved my arm and the clicking I had is gone. Thanks Kershaw now I can be content about my knife collection for a couple of weeks.:)

I wish the scales were a bit thicker. That would make them easier to machine things in them. I remember a picture of a Sebenza that had "carved" looking scales. It looked friggin' schweeet. I wonder how a "Mayoized" Leek would turn out. I would sure be light.

I just got mine, it's pretty great after the first 5 minutes, haha. I wonder if I should get another...

I love these pics, really shows off the knife. You can really see the new grind, which I think is a flat grind, very useful. I still wish they would source Spyderco for edge geometry. Now what shall I use for a sweet lanyard? All I have is paracord...

Nice Tissot T-touch btw. When I worked at Tourneau that was one of my bestsellers, but it also was sent in for repairs a lot, so baby that thing! And don't get it wet! It is NOT water resistant because of the barometer, but I'm sure you knew that.

Thanks for this warning, I though it is waterproof - at least it is marked as 30m waterproof :( I can not imagine swees watches having any problems with quality :(

Thanks, Vassili.

I think in watches 30m means you can wash your hands with it on. 100m means you can swim. Seems to be the recommendation from most watch nuts. BTW, great pictures Vassili. Are you an artist as well as a knife nut?

What was the msrp of this knife back then, and have they gained any value when NIB? How many were produced?

Thanks, Vassili.

just yesterday i went to a watch shop to replace a battery in my tissot, i havent used it since about 2000 and felt like walking with a classy wristwatch again :)

but, it turns out i was soaked with water and instead of a 18euro battery replacement it'd cost me 78euros!! :(
i aid i'll think about it and return some other time

i remember i was too cheap back then to ask for a watertest, and i suppose i got it wet, cant remember tho

it was suppose to be water resistant to 50m WITH a test, without it, not a chance..:(

anyway great leek pics!
