Kershaw/ZT Picture Thread!!! Let's See Em'!

I miss those early days too man! I remember when the brand was already making knives, but you couldn't even find them yet by putting 'Zero Tolerance' into a search engine. That was back when they just had the 300 series, and maybe the 350, but we were at first told that you had to be military or LE to get one. Although I dont know if that ever actually ended up being a thing or not in the very beginning.
I loved the Grant/Gavin Hawk collabs. The 0650ST and 0500 were awesome and need to be re-released in Magnacut.

The early Onion knives were what GOT me into folding knives. And the original run bronze tungsten coated 0150 is a knife I carry regularly to this day.

In my opinion KAI/ZT does not have capable in-house knife designers. Its glory days were when it collaborated with famous knife designers like Onion, Hinderer, Sinkevich, Emerson, and Les George. I know it still have knives collaborated with Hinderer and Sinkevich. But these knives are now in the $300+ range and with that kind of prices I'd just buy the true Hinderer ones like XM-18 (over time I have owned about eight ZT 0560/1/2 and I have moved all of them). I still have five ZT 0452s as it is much more expensive and difficult to get true Sinkevich ones.

I have to agree.

And the hard use military focused knives they were making during the GWOT were the best. Not a fan of the high end artsy stuff they're doing in the past 5-7 years.

Check out a 0095, it's my favorite in house design!

The good old days. I've got one of each of most of them. 🤗

Never liked the "tiger stripe" thing. So, I don't own any knife like that. 🤷‍♂️
Man I love that original tiger pattern on the 300 series.

I also just saw that instead of DLC coating on the 0350 series, they started doing cerakote instead.

ZT isn't what it used to be it seems. Their old DLC and PVD coatings were fantastic.

That one's sharp for sure.

I think the 0308 is my favourite current production. Other than the 0350 of course.

A lot of people don't like the 0350 because it's "assisted" but I'm not one of them.

I've got 4 variations of the 0350 & 1 of the 0360 which I consider a variation of the 0350.

----------------------------------

Not a fan of the 0308. It's ok but it's too little, too late IMO.

it's fine for those who couldn't/didn't participate in the early days of ZT but the thing is you can still buy older ZTs on EB & ACK for not that much $. 🤷‍♂️

Also don't like the hole through the scale. It's a minor thing & it's not like I don't own knives w/holes in them but I just don't like it on the 0308.

I also decided I'd never buy a ZT with a light grey box.

Only green, black & blue boxed ZTs for me. ;)

Forgive my ignorance. What is EB & ACK?

Forgive my ignorance. What is EB & ACK?

eBay & Arizona Custom Knives which are the major resellers of knives on the Net.

You can buy balis & autos on ACK but not on EB.

There are other sources but these dominate all others.

Both are great for buying (which is mainly what I do) but not so great for selling.

ACK is better for buying because they don't charge sales tax. But you can haggle on EB (if the seller accepts offers. Not so on ACK.

A lot of fees on EB but nothing like the 25% ACK charges sellers.

Hard to make $ (let alone break even) on either site, if that's your objective.

ZT's blackwash is my favorite knife finish! I even started a thread for it 😜

We all have different tastes.

BW is not my favorite finish but it looks good on the 0560. I only have one other BW, a ZT 0300BW.

Will try to remember to post of a pic of it w/the 0560 here later.

Yea I guess not everyone's perfect 😜 I guess that leaves more blackwash for me! 😂
