Kershaw/ZT Picture Thread!!! Let's See Em'!

Sorry to burst your bubble but you need a 0452wbw as well.
I bought two and sold one on here. I should never have sold it. I’ve got at least 2 of every 0452 variant I have except my WBW. It’s freaking awesome. Love that knife. Truly a safe queen.

I've seen & had opportunities to buy a WBW but have always passed on it.

One reason is that I'm not a BW fan.

I wasn't looking for it & only bought the RDBW because one just happened to turn up for a "good" price.

Still not sure that I'd want another BW in my collection.

However, I'd probably buy a WBW if one also turned up for the "right" price but I also wouldn't go out of my way to look for one. 🤷‍♂️

----------------------------

Note: FWIW, my "objective" in collecting anything is not to collect EVERYTHING that's available but to collect those things of a certain type that I desire & enjoy most.

So, I won't mind if I never find a WBW but will be very disappointed if I never find a 204P to add to my 0452 collection.

But you would have them all. You need them all. Come on just do it. You know you want to. Think of the dopamine hit lmao

What initially got me into collecting Kershaws, ZTs & Spydercos was the diversity in the types & styles of knives that they made & sold.

It was like being a kid in a candy shop with so many choices to make with only so much money to buy any in my pocket.

--------------------------------

For my own reasons, the 0640 is one of the vintage ZT models that I never liked . Another is the 0393.

I know that there are many who love them both but they just never appealed to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

But name almost any other VINTAGE model of ZT & I probably have (or, at least previously had) at least 1 version of it in my collection.

--------------------------------

The silver 0055 shown above with the BW/bronze variant that is a very uniquely designed knife.

I own the silver but not the BW/BRZ for the reason previously mentioned. I seen the blue but not the teal colored variant of the 0055 (also pictured above) before.

--------------------------------

There is a Kershaw model (I forget which at the moment) in my collection that uses the same (or similar) type of hidden front flipper tab opening device that is used on the 0055.

I'll have to find & post a pic of it here w/my 0055 later.

I'm looking forward to it! GTC designs are sweet, a custom from him is on my grail list for sure.

Here are pics of my silver ZT 0055 designed by Gustavo Cecchini and a Kershaw 1775 OD-1 designed by Lee Williams that I also own:

These are entirely different knives in terms of shape, size, materials & cost but share a similar blade opening mechanism.

The front flipper on the 0055 involves a "double action" which requires you to 1st lift & pivot the flipper tap to an almost vertical position before you can pull open the blade with the tab. The flipper tab on the 1775 is already in the vertical position & pulling it back in a single movement directly opens the blade.

The pivoting tab on the 0055 allows it to be more hidden in the closed position & makes it virtually impossible to hang up on anything in your pocket.

While the tab on 1775 looks like could hang up on something while removing it from your pocket, in practice, I automatically place my forefinger directly on the tab while removing it from my pocket (preventing from hanging up on anything) & immediately open the blade when it clears making it a very quick opening knife.

Both tabs are completely hidden when the knives are open.

0620 I just finished up. Mxg hardware and clip, I polished then stone washed the clip face, grays precision zirconium monster disk, snowfire fat carbon Starburst milling with acid washed liner to blend in better. Absolutely love this knife.
MXG clip is so much better than the factory one. If the lockbar cutout relief for the ZT0620 was on the inside, it would be perfect.
